We are able to offer party wall advice for both Building and Adjoining Owners on competative rates and offer fixed fee estimates where possible. We are happy to act as the Agreed Surveyor in determining disputes arising under the Act in a quick and efficient manner.

Party Wall Advice

Under the Party Wall etc. Act, 1996 where it is proposed to build a wall on the boundary of your property, undertake works to a shared wall, i.e. party wall, or to excavate for new foundations within 3m or 6m of adjacent foundations of your neighbour's property you may need to serve Notice upon your neighbours prior to commencing these works.

At Dixon Payne we will give you practical party wall advice drawing on our undoubted experience dealing with these matters to ensure that you can proceed with your works with the minimum fuss. We do not look to make the process more complicated than it is, but rather to facilitate a process which has practical benefits to both builder and affected neighbour.

Similarly, where as a neighbour you may be affected by works, Dixon Payne will advise you with regard to your rights under the Act and explain the implications of any proposals. Again, we consider our obligation is the safeguarding of your property interests without interfering with your neighbour's works unless of course there is a risk that you will be materially affected.
